When Mr & Mrs Shotter of Newsome, Huddersfield decided to change their old timber conservatory with a new UPVC conservatory they looked no further than, the home improvement experts Gardinia Windows. Working with General Manager Allan Hinchliffe of Gardinia they are delighted with the finished product.
Before:
Allan takes up the story further: The real challenge was that the original timber conservatory design was a combination of an outhouse to one side and porch to the other (see the before pictures) with a split height old felt roof. Added to this was the fact that previous owners had carried out varying quality of repairs and maintenance to the timber works over the years, the pictures speak for themselves.
The brief from the clients however was more simple: Achieve maximum space without taking any more area from the driveway, ensure that the boiler and electric and gas meters in the outhouse area are maintained whilst improving on the overall aesthetic appearance. As we said simple.
Says Allan: fortunately due to our versatile high performance exclusive Total Roof System we were able to calculate the existing roof pitch and design the new conservatory roof to complement and follow the same angles. Working alongside our builders we successfully dismantled the existing structure around the existing services I.E the boiler and gas/electric supplies and re-built the new walls and UPVC conservatory with the minimum disturbance.
Building in progress:
Concludes Mr & Mrs Shotter: We are delighted with the finished product and were very impressed with the competence and expertise of all the workmen who laboured on our project. We are so glad we chose Gardinia and the quality of the products and finishes achieved are there for all to see.
