Back in 2019 when having a bit of an office clear out, I came across a stash of old photos and negatives. This turned in to a quite long blog post: Photos From The Gardinia Windows Archives
Recently we have a similar story, when re arranging other areas of the building we came across a box with some photos and lots of old backup cd’s. These CD’s contained a lot of digital photos, some taken with early digital cameras from the late 90s and others film photos that had been scanned in and digitised at some point.
Even after narrowing down the selection of photos significantly I’ve still ended up with more photos than what can realistically fit in one blog post, so this will be a two part blog. Todays featuring the photos from the late 1990’s and next weeks featuring the photos up to the mid 2000’s.
Starting off in 1998 Gardinia had a summer weekend to showcase the companies vast product portfolio, which back then event included kitchens and bedrooms. Part of the summer weekend included a bouncy castle for the kids to play on, as pictured below:
This event looked to have been a success as it was run again in 1999, below is a promotional flyer from back then.
(We don’t have the font’s used in this back in 1999, so it won’t look exactly as it did back then)
A few photos inside Gardinia from the summer weekend event, taken on 19th September 1999:
