As of today we have published a blog post every week for the last three years, the original goal was to aim for a year, however we kept going. I must admit when thinking about this I thought it had only been two years, however time has flown by and we have managed to keep the continuous streak going since 7th September 2017, starting with a blog on the Solidor £5000 Homeowner Guarantee.
Of course we have been infrequently publishing blog posts much longer than that, my first blog post for Gardinia was in February 2012 on Lock Snapping – The Euro Cylinder Lock Vulnerability however we have content going as far back as November 3, 2009 with a blog on Anti-Snap Anti-Bump Door Cylinders.
Needless to say weak euro cylinder door locks we’re a problem back in 2009 and are still a problem today, over a decade later. However any reputable window company will have been fitting highly secure euro cylinders for a long time now, with more people upgrading to secure locks every day. Our Upvc Spares 4 Repairs online store stock the highly secure ABS Euro Cylinders.
For this blog post I decided to look back over some of my favourite projects we have featured on the Gardinia blog. The idea of weekly blog posts has always been to regular showcase to customers projects Gardinia has undertaken, in addition to showcase our latest products.
With so many projects featured over the last few years It was hard to choose just a few, so I ended up with what stood out to me when browsing though the list of our past blog posts.
Mr & Mrs Hossanee’s Hybrid Orangery – this project has always been a favourite of mine. Gardinia totally transformed Mr & Mrs Hossanee’s old conservatory in to a stunning Hybrid Orangery to create a large, comfortable living space:
Composite Door Upgrade With Encapsulated Fanlight Window – this is another really stunning project where old meets new. We were able to encapsulate the existing stained fanlight unit, as customer wished to maintain this feature. In addition we were able to re-create the antiqued rectangular leaded units in both the door and flag windows:
Encapsulated Stained Upvc Windows – Gardinia were commissioned by Mr & Mrs Barraclough from Brighouse to complete a project that would allow them to have modern high performance Upvc windows, whilst retaining and upgrading their original stained glass windows. Another great example of old meets new:
Door With a Difference – A door suitable for disabled access was required for the South Yorkshire Boat Club at their club house. A design incorporating the boat clubs name was sandblasted to the inside face of the outer leaf of glass, with stunning results:
A Conservatory With a Panoramic Aspect – For this project Chris decided to relocate the site of his conservatory and change the design of the conservatory to a classic Victorian style. The new position of the conservatory leaves the remainder of the garden bathed in sunlight whilst taking full advantage of the fantastic views:
