Mr and Mrs Ruffell of Brighouse wanted to convert their existing conservatory, which was too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter in to an additional room of the house which could be used all year round.
This can be achieved by replacing the existing polycarbonate roof with a solid conservatory roof, essentially this has come to be known as a Garden Room (a conservatory with a solid roof).
The idea of converting the existing conservatory in to a Garden Room appealed, this would allow the existing conservatory base and frames to remain in place, meaning the high costs and disruption involved in constructing an extension would not be a problem with this project. The whole project took less than a week of construction time to complete.
