The entire front wall of the bedrooms at Mr & Mrs Feathers home in Holmfirth essentially consisted of a large glass window. Mr and Mrs Feather desired to change this by adding a tiled wall to the front of their house. For better illustration the photo below shows the large windows taking up the entire front wall of the bedrooms:
The desire was to have wardrobes in the bedroom, without the wardrobes been in front of the window. Providing Gardinia with a sketch, Mr & Mrs Feather knew exactly what they wanted:
The back wall also needed to be in keeping with the front of the house, so would be tiled also:
We were confident we could turn Mr & Mrs Feather’s dream in to reality, so got to work!
First new partitions were added to the front of the house, which included insulation and re-felting, before finally tiling both the front and back of the house. After the tile work was completed it was time for the new Energy Efficient A-Rated Double Glazed Upvc Windows to be fitted.
The end result show below is pretty stunning I think you will agree, the tiled front wall has totally transformed the front of Mr & Mrs Feather’s home. The reduced size windows still let plenty of light in and allow for the desired wall space in the bedrooms:
The back of the house was equally transformed with a high quality, modern, tiled finish:
Mr & Mrs Feather we’re so delighted they decided to also have their aging Upvc front and back doors replaced with modern highly secure Solidor Composite Doors from Gardinia.
The old Upvc Doors are pictured below:
Mr and Mrs Feathers new Solidor Solid Core Composite front door, complete with matching fanlight windows to the left and right is pictured below:
The back Solidor Composite Door had an internal blind, pictured below both opened and closed:
Mr & Mrs Feather are both delighted with the end result, i’m sure you will agree it’s quite the transformation!
