Our client has a distinct, period property in Mirfield, which he was anxious to retain its character when replacing his old draughty frames.
Having taken his time to seek our advice and take our recommendations, he chose to install our engineered timber vertical sash window system to the front elevation of his home.
With three windows in the bay along with two bedroom windows to the first floor. We all agreed that the finished result was exceptional and complimented his home splendidly.
The windows are fitted with draft strips as standard and were painted prior to installation, which allowed the frames to become a one visit project, without the need for the decorator to visit after installation, which would have been weather dependant and could have delayed the completion of the final works.
The glazing installed in the frames is our Climate Gard XL system, incorporating argon gas filled double glazed units, to maximize the heat retention within the home.
Our joiner completed the internal trimming of the frames as the work progressed, resulting in our client only to have to decorate the internal architraves when he finally gets around to decorating the rooms.
The installation of 5 windows took 3 days and the site was left clean and tidy on completion.
It is clear from the photos that if you want to keep the character of your home, it is well worth making the effort and choosing a product to compliment the project.
