Mr & Mrs Muskett from Linthwaite chose Gardinia to upgrade their old Conservatory and transform it in to a Garden room, that would be usable all year round. Mr & Mrs Muskett came to Gardinia having used us previously, initially looking for a new Conservatory door. The project grew from a door to updating the full front elevation of the Conservatory, before finally becoming a project to transform the Conservatory to a Garden Room.
We replaced the frames and built up the side wall to comply with building regulations, incorporating two Velux windows in the solid roof that would allow more natural light during the summer months.
Due to the close vicinity of the proposed Garden Room to the neighbours wall, Mr & Mrs Muskett couldn’t have more than 1 square meter of unprotected area (fire regulations) on that elevation, this means that a full glazed side was not feasible. To overcome this the majority of the wall was solid and plastered with fire retardant plasterboard.
Below we have some before and after photos, the before photos showcasing the old Conservatory that was transformed in to a Garden Room.
